You May be Eligible to Apply if You:

Have a documented financial hardship within one year of the 2023 and/or 2024 qualifying storms (June 29–July 2, 2023; September 17–18, 2023; and July 13–16, 2024).

Are a City of Chicago resident now and at the time of the qualifying storms.

Demonstrate an income at or below the 80% Area Median Income (AMI).

Are 18 years or older.

Complete application

Provide information and supporting documentation about yourself, your household, and the financial hardship caused by the qualifying storms.

Application Selection

Submitting an application does not guarantee your application will be reviewed. Applications will be selected on a monthly basis through a weighted prioritization process.

Application Review and Determination

If your application is selected for review, a Case Manager will review your application and supporting documentation to determine eligibility. If more information is needed, you may be contacted. Applicants will be notified once a decision has been made.
